Biography

Robert R. Thomas, Jr, 53, of US RT 11, Watertown died Sunday morning at his home under the care of his family and Hospice of Jefferson County.

Mr. Thomas was born July 6, 1959 in Oceanside, CA to Robert R. and Betty Jean (Bedwell) Thomas, Sr. He graduated from James B. Castle High School in Kaneohe, HI. He later graduated from Jefferson Community College with an Associate's Degree in Computing. Mr. Thomas served in the United States Army from 1977-1998 and received many commendations for his service. He was also Associate Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Watertown.

He married Donna C. Radl February 14, 2004 at the Holy Covenant Church of God, Pastor Stanley Flasher officiating.

Mr. Thomas loved the Lord with all his heart. He enjoyed making people really think about Biblical principles and customs. He also enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle and ministering to people at the Christian Care Center. He loved his wife as Christ loved the Church and treated her like a queen, he was faithful in serving the Lord and will be greatly missed. He wanted everyone to know "I found the free stuff."

Surviving besides his wife, Donna and his parents Robert and Betty Thomas, are a daughter Nicole (Arnulfo) Solis and their 5 children Molly Ann, Rebecca Sueann, Anna Yzabella, Jazmyn Ann and Arnulfo(Lorenzo) Solis-Thomas, Jr., three sons Erik (Bridget) Thomas and their children Erik Allen, Jr and Zoey Elizabeth, Scott Thomas and Samson Peter Thomas, a step son Zachariah Adam Reed and two brothers Michael and Jeffery. A granddaughter Lillianna Lea Thomas died before him.

The Memorial Service will be held Thursday July 19th, 3pm at the First Baptist Church, 207 State St., Watertown, Rev Jeffery Smith officiating. There are no calling hours.
